Brandon High School (2023)
We have a four year partnership with the Central Mississippi Down Syndrome Society. Each year we are asked to volunteer and participate in the preparation of, the serving of, and the conclusion of the Buddy Walk. We prepare by volunteering our time prior to the event by assembling registration packets, decoration and hanging signs, sorting t-shirts, and displaying the gallery of the "Buddies". The day of the walk, our students volunteer their time by giving instructions, handing our welcome packets, face painting, greeting, and serving lunch. After a fun, heart-filled day, the students conclude with cleaning, reorganizing, and loading up the supplies for the next anticipated year.
