N.R. Burger Middle School (Hattiesburg Schools) with Community Partners in Action. Supporting academic proficiency and developing social responsibility.
N.R. Burger works with a wide variety of community partners to address needs of students and the school. Efforts of their partners have worked to beautify restrooms on the campus, provide information on various colleges and universities to students, serve as campus greeters, donate school supplies, provide funds for celebrations, donate t-shirts, gift cards and goodie bags for students and staff.
Burger’s partners include Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Bancorp South, Peanut’s Moving Services, Tru Sellers and Parkway Heights United Methodist Church, Joann Wynn of Rare Edition, Sharon Brinson of Jani King, Derek Daniels of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Orlando Dantzler of the Forrest County District Attorney’s Office, Terry Ulmer and the Mu Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha.
