Duration of partnership: 5 years

Since 2011, the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi has partnered with EverFi, Inc., a leading education technology company, to bring web-based learning courses in financial literacy, digital literacy, and STEM education to middle- and high-school students. The Foundation's initiative, called the Community Digital Scholars Program, brings interactive resources to local students at no cost to schools or taxpayers.

EverFi works with individual school districts in northwest Mississippi to place online resources in classes that match the needs of individual schools. Students also learn how to apply for federal college aid, the rules of responsible social networking, and the basics of math and coding.  After completing EverFi’s financial literacy courses, students are more knowledgeable and better prepared to manage their financial futures.
