Beyond the Classroom: Connecting Students to Careers connects students at Larry Summers Career and Technical Center with real-world learning experiences through strong community partnerships. Programs including Educator Preparation, Health Science, Law and Public Safety, and Work-Based Learning collaborate with partners such as McCoy Elementary School, local nursing homes, the fire department, daycares, and mechanical shops. These partnerships allow students to apply classroom knowledge in authentic work environments while developing professional skills and career awareness. Through these experiences, students gain valuable exposure to career pathways while strengthening connections between the school and community.
