Rankin County School District (2024)
Brandon, Florence, Pelahatchie, and Puckett CTE programs worked together, with many community partners, to raise awareness and funds to support hunger issues in 3rd world countries. Through the RISE AGAINST HUNGER organization, these programs were able to purchase and package 20,088 meals that will be sent overseas. Through raising funds, these programs were able to share knowledge within their school communities on the importance of nutrition and how poor nutrition is a global issue that can be supported with creativity and effort from people across the world.
