Petal High School (Petal School District)
Petal High School (Petal School District), Chain Electric Company, and Pearl River Community College work together to offer a career preparation program that provides college credits.
The Utility Lineman program provides high school seniors at Petal High School a hands-on learning opportunity that not only prepares them for a career, but also provides 14 hours of college credit at Pearl River Community College. Chain Electric has long been a friend of the Petal School District, volunteering at career fairs, serving on Career and Technical Education Advisory Committees, and providing mock interviews for students. Chain Electric’s willingness to step out and invest in secondary education is exemplary. Their partnership with the Petal School District has directly impacted our students in Petal, and has potential to impact countless students across the state.
