Union Public School District (2024)

The Union Public School District, and its students, are proudly supported by the Yellow Jacket Nation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the sole focus of supporting the school district with one of the lowest ad valorem revenue streams in Mississippi. The Foundation, as it is affectionately called, has supply technology devices for each kindergarten classrooms. It provides funding for PBIS rewards and other students and teacher recognitions. Additionally The Foundation provides grants each year to new teachers in the district to help get their classrooms started. Currently, The Foundation is partnering with the district to install a new brick archway at the entrance of Union High School that will feature the names of alumni members and others who support the school. Finally, The Foundation partnered with the district, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of MS Foundation to provide a brand new, state of the art playground of the Union Elementary School campus.
