William Carey University School of Education (2024)
The WCU School of Education (Gifted Program) created a STEAM camp for children two times per year that combines STEAM with MUSIC! Any children who are interested in participating can be part of the program for a Saturday "STEAM and SING" in January or a Summer Ex-STREAM Music camp in June each year. 20-40 students have participated in the event for the last few years. The event is under the direction of Gifted Coordinator, Dr. Christina Liverett, led by WCU Gifted Education students and the music portion is led by Carey Children's Choir Director, Dr. Cassandra Wess.
