Obama Magnet School (Jackson Public Schools)

The Obama Magnet Playground Project was initiated in the fall of 2018 when concern was expressed regarding student health, and the condition / safety of existing equipment and play areas at the school. 

Jackson Public Schools

Students in the program are mentored twice a week for 30 minutes each session. Churches or businesses with flexible employee work schedules are the primary target volunteer groups for ARISE2Read. Mentors serve at the school 1-hour a week and mentor the same two children each week in 30-minute sessions.
